‘Why me?’ School’s Information Pack

Why me? has been developed by education and health professionals on behalf of ERIC and has been produced with the support of the Big Lottery Fund.
Information and key messages in ‘Why me?’ have been drawn from ALSPAC (Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children), a research project being undertaken by the University of Bristol in partnership with ERIC. The project has analysed data from 8,000 families as part of a Big Lottery Fund research project on childhood continence.
The ‘Why me?’ Continence in children and young people tool kit provides guidance and information on:
- continence
- bedwetting
- daytime wetting
- soiling and constipation.
To support practitioners working with children and young people in a range of settings, including:
- Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, including children’s centres, early excellence centres, nurseries, playgroups and childcare
- schools
- community and supplementary education settings
- child and family health services.
